MFA Interview with Steve Morse of Deep Purple

by Big Robbo @ MamasFallenAngels.com on September 29, 2010

We’ve talked to some busy artists before, but I don’t think we’ve ever talked to one with a schedule as full as Mr. Steve Morse. The Steve Morse you know of course from Deep Purple and the Dixie Dregs, but our interview dealt mainly with a new project you might not be aware of known as Angelfire. Ladies and Gentlemen, Steve Morse:

MFA Interview with Jackyl’s Jesse James Dupree

by Big Robbo @ MamasFallenAngels.com on August 23, 2010

Jesse James Dupree gave me one of my favorite quotes from our brand of hard rock and heavy metal. When asked how he could possible bring a chainsaw on stage and play it as an instrument, he replied “How could you NOT play a chainsaw on stage?” Tells you everything you need to know about that man, and why I’m a big fan.

Jackyl and Jesse as usual are very busy this summer, but we’re glad he took a few minutes out of his day (and a few away from his lunch I might add) to talk to us here at MamasFallenAngels. Ladies and Gentlemen, Jesse James Dupree:

Steve Blaze was gracious enough to sit down with us recently and dish on Deep Red Shadows rich melodic sound, the addition of Ronny, and the music industry as we now know it. Ladies and Gentlemen, Steve Blaze:

by Big Robbo @ MamasFallenAngels.com on July 5, 2010

Europe is very busy on the concert trail in Europe this summer, and we were very honored that Ian took the time to sit down with us. Husband, father, and one kick ass drummer of a great rock and roll band that’s still putting out great music. Laides and Gentlemen, Ian Haugland:

MFA Interview with Rik Emmett of Triumph

by Big Robbo @ MamasFallenAngels.com on June 11, 2010

Rik Emmett was voted the 7th best guitar player of all time in a recent Gibson readers poll. Rik joked during our discussion that he didn’t know if it was one person voting over and over, but I think he belongs on ANY list of great rock and roll guitarists.

Rik was busy promoting the new Triumph Greatest Hits and managing his several side projects, but we were lucky enough to get a great interview with him. Ladies and Gentlemen, Rik Emmett:

MFA Interview with Matthias Jabs of the Scorpions

by Big Robbo @ MamasFallenAngels.com on June 11, 2010

Matthias and the guys in the band are certainly very busy with their farewell tour, and we certainly felt honored that Matthias took the time out of his busy schedule to talk to us about the tour, the new album, and some of his “post” retirement plans.

If you’ve ever seen or heard an interview with Matthias, you already know he’s one of the nicest guys in rock and roll, and one of the truly great all time lead guitar players. Ladies and Gentlemen, Matthias Jabs:

1Chris Broderick, the incredibly talented (and all around nice guy) guitarist from Megadeth was gracious enough to sit down with us recently, and he gave a great short interview. The guys are very busy (touring with Exodus and Testament) and we were honored for Chris to talk to us about Dave, writing albums, and playing live. Ladies and Gentlemen, Chris Broderick:

MFA Interview with Cinderella’s Tom Keifer

by Big Robbo @ MamasFallenAngels.com on March 15, 2010

‘ve done quite a few of these interviews now, but somehow I still get a little nervous when I talk to an artist that I’ve jammed along with in anonymity for so very long. I was there (like a lot of us were) at the “big bang” of Cinderella, and I was a fan from the first time I heard them. I’ve said it publicly many times, but I’ll say it again….if all the bands from “our” hard rock and heavy metal carried themselves and took their music as seriously as Cinderella did, grunge wouldn’t have stood a fucking chance. Ladies and Gentlemen…Tom Keifer:
